PROJECT:
Architecture, Residential, Commercial
The brief from the client asked FORM to maximise the development potential of a tight site within a Town Centre location.
The site sits in an historic street frontage with the contemporary design of the new development integrated into the street scene.
The design reflects the essence of the local architecture which comprises a mix of mid to late 19th century Victorian buildings and reinterprets the local vernacular in a fresh and unashamedly modern development.
The bold cantilevered triple folded roof profile reflects the Victorian buildings on the adjacent site and reproduces the pattern of decorated brickwork and slate roofing used on the Victorian warehouse.
A planning consent was granted for a stylish well designed mixed use development.
